Household of Abducted Lady Claims Inaction of Dallas Police & Mavs in Sex Trafficking Case

DALLAS - A 15-year-old girl from North Richland Hills is now residence after being abducted by a man at an April 8 Dallas Mavericks recreation at American Airlines Center. But the family nonetheless seeks answers, and is charging the Mavs, the AAC and Dallas Police for not performing swiftly enough relating to the crime, which had the woman as part of a sex-trafficking operation.

“She was gone lacking a total of 11 days,” lawyer Zeke Fortenberry mentioned. “Our intent is that approach (the aforementioned organizations) are on discover that we’re pursuing claims towards them for their negligence and other causes of motion.''

Fortenberry stated the teen’s father informed police on the recreation when he realized she was lacking. But, based on the lawyer, the daddy was advised to report the allegations to his hometown North Richland Hills Police. 

Fortenberry claims NRH police stated they weren’t in a position to assist as a result of the incident occurred in Dallas.

The lawyer said it was the Houston-based human trafficking company Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative that labored to seek out the lacking girl, who was being held in an Oklahoma City motel.

Dallas Police instructed WFAA that they adopted protocol'' and that they aided North Richland Hills PD in the search.

The Mavs responded publicly on April 20, after the woman was found, the crew releasing the following statement: “The American Airlines Middle (and the Dallas Mavericks) are grateful that the teenager has been discovered.Both entities will proceed to cooperate with native and regional legislation enforcement on this case.''
