SACRAMENTO, Calif. >> A suspect on the run since a mass taking pictures left six people lifeless during an alleged gang dispute in California’s capital city final month has been arrested in Las Vegas, authorities said.

Investigators consider Mtula Payton was one of the alleged gang members who opened fireplace in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an condominium advanced, the Sacramento Police Department stated in a press release Saturday night.

“Las Vegas Metro Police Division labored with our detectives for weeks in an effort to locate Payton,” the statement mentioned.

It wasn’t identified Sunday if Payton has an legal professional who may speak on his behalf.

Payton and two others, brothers Smiley Martin and Dandrae Martin, were charged this month with murder within the slayings, in addition to weapons offenses.
