Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several businesses responded to a middle college in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mother observed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen never made it contained in the constructing, and he ran from the varsity.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with several different companies in an try to search out him.
The teenager was found close to the college’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old may very well be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the college or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
