Family of Abducted Woman Claims Inaction of Dallas Police & Mavs in Sex Trafficking Case

DALLAS - A 15-year-old lady from North Richland Hills is now residence after being abducted by a man at an April 8 Dallas Mavericks recreation at American Airlines Center. However the family still seeks solutions, and is charging the Mavs, the AAC and Dallas Police for not performing swiftly sufficient concerning the crime, which had the lady as a part of a sex-trafficking operation.

“She was gone lacking a total of 11 days,” lawyer Zeke Fortenberry mentioned. “Our intent is that manner (the aforementioned organizations) are on notice that we’re pursuing claims towards them for their negligence and different causes of motion.''

Fortenberry said the teenager’s father knowledgeable police on the game when he realized she was lacking. But, in response to the attorney, the father was told to report the allegations to his hometown North Richland Hills Police. 

Fortenberry claims NRH police mentioned they weren’t in a position to assist because the incident occurred in Dallas.

The lawyer mentioned it was the Houston-based human trafficking company Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative that worked to find the missing woman, who was being held in an Oklahoma Metropolis motel.

Dallas Police advised WFAA that they followed protocol'' and that they aided North Richland Hills PD within the search.

The Mavs responded publicly on April 20, after the lady was found, the group releasing the next assertion: “The American Airlines Center (and the Dallas Mavericks) are grateful that the teenager has been found.Both entities will proceed to cooperate with native and regional regulation enforcement on this case.''
