Man arrested in reference to “school shooter” indicators present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "faculty shooter" have been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety announced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple charges. 

An elevated quantity of police officers were positioned at schools within the communities as a result of the indicators. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators around the communities, the Department of Safety mentioned, but they determined there is no credible threat at this time.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The safety division launched a photo of the plate but blurred a part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of felony threatening and three misdemeanor prices including false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No different suspects have been charged at the moment.
