Die Seitenbesitzer erkannten zügig den Wert einer nahmen Listung in Ergebnissen und recht bald entstanden Einrichtung, die sich auf die Aufwertung qualifitierten. In den Anfängen ereignete sich der Antritt oft bezüglich der Transfer der URL der jeweiligen Seite in puncto verschiedenen Internet Suchmaschinen. Diese sendeten dann einen Webcrawler zur Untersuchung der Seite aus und indexierten sie.[1] Der Webcrawler lud die Webpräsenz auf den Server der Recherche, wo ein weiteres Software, der gern genutzte Indexer, Infos herauslas und katalogisierte (genannte Ansprüche, Links zu anderen Seiten). Die neuzeitlichen Varianten der Suchalgorithmen basierten auf Informationen, die durch die Webmaster selbst bestehen wurden, wie Meta-Elemente, oder durch Indexdateien in Internet Suchmaschinen wie ALIWEB. Meta-Elemente geben einen Überblick über den Inhalt einer Seite, allerdings registrierte sich bald raus, dass die Benutzung der Hinweise nicht vertrauenswürdig war, da die Wahl der eingesetzten Schlagworte durch den Webmaster eine ungenaue Präsentation des Seiteninhalts widerspiegeln vermochten. Ungenaue und unvollständige Daten in Meta-Elementen vermochten so irrelevante Kanten bei individuellen Stöbern listen.[2] Auch versuchten Seitenersteller mehrere Attribute in des HTML-Codes einer Seite so zu lenken, dass die Seite überlegen in Serps aufgeführt wird.[3] Da die damaligen Suchmaschinen im WWW sehr auf Aspekte abhängig waren, die nur in Taschen der Webmaster lagen, waren sie auch sehr unsicher für Straftat und Manipulationen in der Positionierung. Um überlegenere und relevantere Testurteile in den Resultaten zu bekommen, mussten wir sich die Inhaber der Suchmaschinen im Internet an diese Gegebenheiten einstellen. Weil der Riesenerfolg einer Suchseiten davon abhängt, wesentliche Suchresultate zu den inszenierten Suchbegriffen anzuzeigen, vermochten ungeeignete Testergebnisse darin resultieren, dass sich die Mensch nach sonstigen Varianten bei der Suche im Web umblicken. Die Auflösung der Suchmaschinen im Netz fortbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen beim Positionierung, die Merkmalen beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur mühevoll manipulierbar waren. Larry Page und Sergey Brin generierten mit „Backrub“ – dem Urahn von Yahoo – eine Search Engine, die auf einem mathematischen KI basierte, der anhand der Verlinkungsstruktur Websites gewichtete und dies in den Rankingalgorithmus eingehen ließ. Auch übrige Search Engines bedeckt in der Folgezeit die Verlinkungsstruktur bspw. in Form der Linkpopularität in ihre Algorithmen mit ein. Google
Is using a server side wildcard redirect good practice? This was done but the old domain urls are still indexed a year later. Rankings for the new domain are still terrible and not the same as before the change of address tool.

My question is that we see the usage of webp images more frequently, also Apple announced that he will support Google’s webp image format. Looking at most of the webshops using webp already the type of the image is webp, but they leave the extension of jpg for example https://google.com/image.jpg but type is webp. What could be the reason for that? Wouldn't it be better if the image would have a .webp extension or no extension at all. Is this related somehow to indexing or SEO? I think they do not want to make the redirect of the images and that’s why they change just the type of the file instead of changing the extension.

We did domain name change some months ago and over 3 months everything was fine in terms of ranking, then suddenly we lost all our ranking. All SEO guru have been indicating it's duplicate content issue because both old and new domain contents are on one server. Can you drop some light on this?

If you migrate your website then check out 301 redirect a few times. Even more, after migration control your redirects because it might break in some time.
